About the event

Join us at our next DevOps Exchange London event on Thursday 7th March, taking place within the DevOps Live Conference at London's Excel.

Join over 14,000 tech pioneers at the UK's largest DevOps gathering, DevOps Live. With over 200+ hours of tech talks and DevOps workshops, this conference features an unparalleled line-up of world-renowned speakers and DevOps leaders throughout the UK.

The DevOps Exchange will take the stage at 3:05pm on day 2 of the conference, Thursday the 7th of March and we have 3 great talks lined up for you...

Dora Milataru from American Cloud Computing services provider, Fastly will be diving into the art of edge authentication for the modern open web using modern passwordless standards and edge computing.

Next up, we have Ivan Pedrazas from software platform, Docker. Ivan will talk around the revolutionary realm of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and its potential impact on DevOps and Platform Engineering.

Finally, we have Srivalsan Mannoor from AWS who will be diving into the growing trend of organisations adopting a multi-cloud strategy for increased agility, vendor independence, optimised workloads, infrastructure control, and compliance adherence.

**IMPORTANT: DevOps Live is a free to attend event. However, to ensure access to the DevOps Exchange event, please ensure that you RSVP here and register for the DevOps Live event here.**

Agenda:

3:05pm: Ivan Pedrazas, Kubernetes Architect @ Docker

"Introduction to GenAI and the threat to DevOps and Platform Engineering"

In this thought-provoking talk, we delve into the revolutionary realm of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and its potential impact on DevOps and Platform Engineering. As AI technologies continue to evolve, GenAI emerges as a powerful tool capable of automating complex tasks, generating code, and even making decisions traditionally handled by DevOps/Platform engineers.

The session begins with an overview of GenAI, exploring its capabilities and applications within the SDLC. We'll discuss how this technology can streamline repetitive tasks, enhance productivity, and bring about unprecedented efficiencies in DevOps practices.

Bio: Ivan Pedrazas has been designing and building distributed systems for more than 20 years. In the last few months, he’s been doing research about complexity theory and cognitive load in the production and management of software components.

3:40pm: Dora Milataru, Software Engineer @ Fastly

"Zen and the art of edge authentication"

Authentication is scary, difficult, dangerous, and… essential. Most apps need some form of it, often as a prerequisite for almost all end-user requests. My talk proposes an authentication architecture for the modern open web, using modern passwordless standards and edge computing; one that's fast, distributed, secure, isolated from the rest of your system, and minimally annoying to integrate and maintain.

Bio: Dora is a Developer Relations Engineer at Fastly, where she tells stories with code and dreams of helping to build a faster, more secure, more reliable–a better web–for everyone.

4:15pm: Srivalsan Mannoor, Cloud Architect @ AWS

"How to build the Cloud Infrastructure in the Kubernetes style using Crossplane"

This session delves into the growing trend of organisations adopting a multi-cloud strategy for increased agility, vendor independence, optimized workloads, infrastructure control, and compliance adherence. With the rise of this approach, a new wave of abstraction layer tools is emerging. The session focuses on building infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment using Crossplane, exploring best practices, central resource management, and essential prerequisites for deploying it in a production setting.

Bio: Cloud Architect with Amazon Web Services whose interests include Containers, Kubernetes, Data Engineering. A public speaker by passion, Srivalsan has given tech talks in multiple AWS Events, CNCF meetups & AWS User Group meetups in London and Liverpool.

We hope that you are able to join us for this event!
