DTX Europe is the Home of Digital Transformation, with 300 exhibitors and 17 stages from Cloud to AI, Infrastructure to Data and everything in between, the conference is a must for anyone interested in modern cutting-edge technology, especially DevOps.
The DevOps Exchange will take the stage at 16:00 on day 1 of the conference, Wednesday 2nd October and we have 4 great talks lined up for you.

Agenda:
4:10pm: Sam Burns, Senior Software Engineer @ Upmind “Ahead of the Curve: Post-Quantum Cryptography in Cloud Infrastructure”
As quantum computing advances, the threat to classical cryptographic systems becomes increasingly relevant. The store-now-decrypt-later threat model is driving cloud providers to roll out Post-Quantum Cryptography now. Cloudflare, Azure, and AWS are already publishing research and rolling out tools. In this session, we will take a look at the basics of quantum computing, delve into the current state of the art, and examine the implications for data security. We will explore why DevOps professionals need to be aware of these developments, and then take a look at practical implementations, including:
Cloudflare's hybrid post-quantum TLS
Google Chrome's new compatibility with PQC
Go version 1.23's Key Exchange Mechanism
4:35pm: Jamie Tanna, Senior Software Engineer @ Elastic
“Quantifying your reliance on Open Source software”
I've always been interested in the composition of Open Source and internal dependencies in my projects, and after years of wanting a way to query the data, I built it! Having access to this data has allowed me and my team to get a view of what our most popular languages or frameworks are, which packages we didn't heavily rely on and determine how many dependencies are using end-of-life software. This data has given my company's developers, leadership and the security team a better view of the landscape of our growing dependencies on Open Source, so we can appropriately upgrade, migrate, and support projects. In this talk, you'll learn that it's straightforward to do this yourself with Free and Open Source Software, as well as looking at some examples of the data that you can get out of this tooling for your own purposes.
5:00pm: Dan Holdsworth, Developer Advocate @ Roadmap.sh
“From Engineer to Management and beyond”
Transitioning from IC to Management can be confusing, stressful, and overwhelming, but it can always be an extremely rewarding career progression. Dan talks about how we can prepare ourselves for this career progression by learning to collaborate between departments and get our ideas heard.
5:25pm: Liam Hampton, Senior Cloud Advocate @ Microsoft
“Deploy and Scale your AI apps with the Azure Developer CLI”
In the era of AI, automation, security and cost analysis are more important than ever. In this talk, Liam will demonstrate how you can take a napkin idea to a production ready system in just a few minutes using the Azure Developer CLI. He will take you through the open source tooling, best practises to use and show you how to reduce the steps you need to take as a developer when deploying your applications.
