About the event

Following a HUGE turnout for our inaugural event last month at Google, the DevOps Exchange New York City returns next week!

Join us on Thursday 25th May for another sell out event as we are joined by; Kusari, Emtec and our hosts for the evening Action IQ at their impressive office overlooking Madison Square Park.

We'll hear from our hosts ActionIQ who will talk about the different challenges of legacy automation migration, including tips on how to define a new efficient automation strategy and also sharing their AIQ journey.

Next up will be Kusari, an exciting start-up IT Consultancy, who will give us an introduction to GUAC, an open source tool for centralizing build, security, and dependency metadata used to help organizations better understand software supply chains.

Finally, IT Solutions provider, Emtec will be sharing with us the importance of leadership and building a collaborative culture within DevOps space.

The event will open at 6:30pm and will consist of 3 x 20 minutes talks starting at 7:00pm. The full agenda is below, we have a set capacity for the evening so please RSVP as soon as you can.

Tina Tyavlovskaya and Kabir Faisal - QA Automation Engineer and QA Automation Lead from ActionIQ "Rocky Journey to Replace Legacy Automation"

Automation is everywhere nowadays. How can we know that it’s time to modernize your legacy automation? Sooner or later, every company that is looking for faster development and a shorter feedback loop has to consider the modernization of existing automation — which is often easier said than done. In this talk, we will discuss the different challenges of legacy automation migration, tips on how to define a new efficient automation strategy and share the AIQ journey.

Tina is currently QA Tech Lead at Actioniq in New York, working on establishing and managing the testing process across multiple teams and coordinating the release process.

Bio: Tina has over 8 years of experience in building and implementing test strategies across various domains and technologies with a concentration on BigData and platforms with complex integrations.

Bio: Kabir has 10 years as a QA Engineer and 2 years as Automation Lead, he has an abundance of experience working with a diverse base application automation tests such as Mobile, Desktop, Web, and API.

Michael Liberman - Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder @ Kusari "Insights into the Software Supply Chain: An Introduction to GUAC"

Bios: Michael Lieberman is a technologist focused on IT transformations. His passion is in applying his expertise to use cases where privacy and security are paramount. He is also highly committed to open-source. Mostly recently he has been focused on work within the software supply chain security space. He is an OpenSSF SLSA steering committee member, tech lead for the CNCF Security Technical Advisory Group (STAG), lead on OpenSSF’s FRSCA project and co-lead the CNCF’s Secure Software Factory Reference Architecture. He is also a maintainer and architect on the GUAC project along with multiple other open source software. Michael has also participated in multiple podcasts, panels and talks both to open source focused conferences as well as internal conferences across the industry.
