DevOps Exchange NYC October - Obsess, Nomic AI, Annalect

Last night saw the DevOps Exchange host its 5th New York City event this year, this time hosted by 4,000-strong global Advertising company, Annelect at their offices on Broadway. This event attracted a large crowd from across the City and beyond as we listened to Nomic AI, Obsess and our hosts at Annalect dive into the latest hot topics in the DevOps realm. For those of you who missed the event or would like to catch up on last night's topics, we have provided some snaps below and a short synopsis from each talk so you can catch up on what you missed!

John Mann, Vice President Of Engineering @ Obsess "Scaling & Growing Teams" First up on stage we welcomed John from Virtual Store Platform, Obsess who dived straight into the best ways of scaling and growing teams in the DevOps space. John then went on to explain how businesses (from early start-ups to large organizations and everything in-between) can retain talent top talent and how to hire the right people for your business to enable growth. Andriy Mulyar, Founder & CTO @ Nomic AI "Nomic Atlas: Scaling Embedding and ML infrastructure to find insights in 10 million text documents" Next up, Andriy, Founder at AI start-up Nomic AI joined us to give an overview into the tooling behind Atlas, the first embedding powered AI platform that integrates into your workflow by organizing text and embedding datasets into intetractive maps for exploration in a web browser. Shashikant Kuwar, Director of DevOps Engineering @ Annalect "How and why build data mesh to super-charge cross-team and cross company collaboration" Finally, Shashikant Kuwar, courtesy of our generous hosts at Annalect, graced the stage to share his story of constructing a Data Mesh to turbocharge collaboration across teams and companies, including real-world pitfalls, solutions, and tweaks made along the way.
