We first met Safia Mirza when organising a DevOps Exchange Manchester Event - our International Women's Day Special.
Passionate about making technology accessible, Safia gave an incredible talk on "Diversity in DevOps: Using GCP and Visual Studio Code to Break Down Barriers into Technology". You can see her talk here.
Safia is a DevOps Engineer at KPMG, using AWS and Azure to develop Cloud-based solutions for clients. She also runs a free Introduction to Python course aimed at improving diversity in technology by teaching practical skills.
We caught up with Safia to find out more:

Who is the course aimed at?
As an introductory course, it is aimed at people who have either never coded, or only have a little experience coding. How long is the course?
We are starting the next course on Tuesday, 7th April and it will consist of live streams, hosted every Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm (BST), running for 10 weeks. The Tuesday session will cover content, code examples, and setting questions for people to code themselves. The Thursday session will cover the code questions so people know how to complete them and answering any further questions anyone might have What should someone expect to be able to achieve by the end of the course?
By the end of the course, people will be able to confidently read and write scripts in Python. How do people sign up and get involved?
